Black Tom: A Novel of Sabotage in New York Harbor by Patrice Hannon

Patrice Hannon’s novel takes place at the time of the Black Tom explosion. Patrice lived just down the block from where I grew up on Reservoir Ave.

Ron Semple — another former Jersey City resident — wrote a book based on the same historical event. Ron grew up on Griffith St. next door to where my shop is now.
