Though strictly an amateur, and no match for his brother Richard the Ice Man in terms of sheer numbers, Joseph Kuklinski, ran away with the title for most vile.
In 1970, Joseph Kuklinski, then 25, stole the beloved dog of a local 12-year-old girl. Telling the youngster that he'd recovered her lost pet, Joseph tricked the child into following him to the roof of 438 Central Avenue. There, Joseph Kuklinski raped and murdered the girl. He then threw her body and the dog off of the roof. The dog survived the fall and by howling alerted the neighbors to the crime.
The police soon apprehended Joseph Kuklinski who quickly confessed. In the local jail, the guards encouraged burly inmates to brutalize the murderer. By the time of the start of the trial, Joseph Kuklinski had the appearance of a gaunt ghost.
At the time of the murder, Joseph Kuklinski's love interest was one Hope, an exotic dancer who performed with a boa constrictor in Union City. Hope expressed shock and dismay when discussing the case as she'd "never held anything back from him."
Joseph Kuklinski died in prison on September 22, 2003.
A curious sidebar to 9/11 is Jersey City physician Magdy Elamir. Dr. Elamir continues to practice at a prominent Summit Avenue location, a block from the Hudson County superior courthouse.
In the '90s, Dr. Elamir founded an HMO that went belly-up to the tune of $45 million.
In December of 1998, Magdy Elamir hired attorney Michael Chertoff, now head of Homeland Security.
Magdy Elamir was involved with Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind Sheikh of Journal Square, now serving a life sentence for conspiracy in the '93 bombing of the World Trade Center.
- A weapons smuggler paid at least $5,000 to an Elamir company.
- Magdy Elamir's brother in Egypt attempted to buy weapons for Islamic militants from an American undercover agent.
- Papers filed before NJ took over the failing HMO claim that Elamir "caused more than $5.7 million to be paid by wire transfers to unknown parties."
- Law enforcement suspected that Elamir's HMO funnelled money directly to Osama Bin Laden. NBC's Dateline stated that according to a Congressional report, Dr. Elamir "has had financial ties with Osama bin Laden for years."
Despite the grave and dramatic nature of the news stories, neither has Magdy Elamir been charged, nor have there been any media retractions.
- Hal Turner, FBI Informant?
Hackers claim that they got access to Hal Turner's email. The messages they've made public seem to show that Hal Turner was an informant for FBI:
Yes, I am aware you no longer have the Blackberry and that you don't have a server growing out of your ass.
I made the "you need to write me back" remark because after what I've done the past five days, some extremely powerful people are looking to jam me up. I intend to make certain I cross all the "T's" and dot all the "i's".
The White House is livid over my interference with the President's "legacy" immigration bill. My name was dropped in the Presidents ear by many Senators who laid blame for changing their vote on my act of "intimidation." I have confirmation from more than one source that my name crossed shrub's (Bush) lips several times about me being . . . . . ready for this . . . . . an "insolent mother fucker who dared to interfere."
Things are going to get very serious for me over my single handedly stopping the immigration bill. I can;t let some asshole make an illegal threat on my web site, then get jammed up for "not reporting."
Thank God some of the Marines at the White House feed me info. You'd be shocked what they hear standing there opening doors all day.

The question of whether Hal Turner is an informant was covered by the Southern Poverty Law Centerand the Anti Defamation League
As might be expected, Hudson County has produced some extraordinary physicians:
- A Union City doctor went to jail for performing abortions. After Roe v. Wade, the governor pardoned the doctor. Having developed a taste for adventure, the doc wound up back in prison for selling machine guns. An ex-inmate reported that this doctor essentially continued to practice on the inside.
Around forty years ago, a Downtown Jersey City doctor and nurse were murdered and the bodies brutally mutilated. The bizarre crime was hushed up and remains unsolved. In 2006, when Jaime Vazquez confronted hate-monger Hal Turner, I was surprised to see the slayings discussed on a Neo-Nazi Web Site. In the best tradition of the Big Lie, the post pointed out that the homicide took place in Downtown Jersey City and that Jaime Vazquez was a Councilman for that area -- as if this somehow tied him to the incident. The message failed to explain that at the time of the crime Jaime was either serving with the Marines in Viet Nam or recently returned home -- after receiving a Purple Heart. But, how did the White Supremacist know about something from so far back in the past? Was the author somehow connected to the Jersey City police? Or to the murderer?
A local doctor loved deep sea fishing. Sharks were his specialty. He ended up getting eaten by a shark.
Dr. X was arrested for using curare to murder patients. As the method employed to detect the drug in the exhumed cadavers was inadmissible in court, the charges were dropped.
One doctor was a drunkard. Figuring that the dead were beyond harm, the local medical establishment offered their tipsy colleague a deal -- take a job as coroner. He even managed to screw this up, declaring a gunshot victim a death by heart attack.
A North Hudson physician developed a controversial cancer "treatment" consisting of injections of a cocaine-like substance. One patient admitted that he really didn't think that his health was improving, but his attitude was much better after a shot.
A Jersey City resident was one of the medical students that Reagan sent the Marines to rescue in Grenada.
A Jersey City physician, as a contractor to drug companies, claimed to be performing large-scale clinical trials. The office, apartment and "research facility" all were in a two-family walk-up on Kennedy Boulevard. The data turned out to be a lot softer than the invoices.
- Newspaper reports described a Jersey City doctor as a financier to Osama Bin Laden
