The really wild stuff literally never saw the light of day in Jersey City.

Dr. Herbert Axelrod, mastermind of the McGreevey-backed NJSO $18.5 million Violin scandal, grew up in Bayonne. For many years, Axelrod published pet care books in a Jersey City factory located on Cornelison Avenue. That was during the daytime hours at least. The story goes that the real money was in pornographic material printed up at night. Driven to New York City before dawn, the really wild stuff literally never saw the light of day in Jersey City.
